Connective Texts

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Connective has launched Connective Texts, a text service connecting residents with helpful and much needed resources in the Greater Houston area. We know that services and resources to help get Houstonians through the pandemic are difficult to find or navigate. Connective Texts can connect you to high quality, FREE resources in your community.

How does it work?

Sign up below for Connective Texts to receive 2-3 texts per week (message frequency varies) with resources in your area. All you need to sign up is a working phone number that receives texts. Fill out the form below and you will automatically be added to our text list (individuals may opt out of these texts at any time).

What type of resources do you share?

Resources shared in these texts range from food distributions, to rent payment assistance, utility assistance, legal support, and more. We share information for all types of Houston-area residents, regardless of immigration status.

Who are we?

This service is brought to you by Connective - a disaster recovery and preparedness system for the Texas Gulf Coast Region. We provide coordinated recovery for communities in need, and do so through building human-centered intake and application processes, technology-enabled coordination tools, and streamlined data analysis. Connective organizes and distributes these resources in cooperation with our partners and local communities.

Connective Texts Opt-in

Connective is a Greater Houston area disaster and preparedness nonprofit dedicated to serving our community through technology and human-centered design.  In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the significant need in our community, Connective launched its texting program to connect people in need with services that can provide assistance. We do so by sending 2-3 texts (message frequency varies) per week to individuals who sign up (at no cost) about local services (food banks, childcare, etc.) and assistance. If you would like to receive these texts, please fill out the information below and submit.

*Please note: The information you provide will not be shared without your consent, and will be used only for the purpose of targeting resources to you based on the information you provide. 

Please note that texts will only be sent in English and Spanish.

The following questions are optional. This data helps us get the funding we need to continue sending texts, but is not required to sign up for these texts.
